Central Water is a member-owned water association currently serving approximately 6500 active connections. Our system operates within six treatment plants, 18 wells and 17 elevated storage tanks and is the third largest rural water system in Mississippi.
Central Water is regulated by the Mississippi State Department of Health and has been awarded the highest possible scores by them for the last several years following our annual inspection and is recognized as one of the top water systems in the state.
The company is governed by a six member Board of Directors, which meets on the second Monday of each month at the Central Water office at 5:00 p.m. The Board of Directors are elected to a three year term by the membership with two being elected each year at the annual meeting of members held on the second Monday in September.
